Alberto del Canto is a Spanish-born composer, conductor, and music educator who has had a long and distinguished career in the music industry. He is best known for his work in the field of choral music, having composed and conducted numerous works for choirs and orchestras throughout his career.
Del Canto was born in Madrid, Spain in 1945. He began his musical studies at the age of seven, studying piano and composition at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid. He has taught at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, and the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña. He has also served as a professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
