Mikhail Gvozdev

Mikhail Gvozdev is a Russian scientist and inventor who is best known for his work in the field of aeronautics. He is credited with the invention of the first successful powered aircraft, the Gvozdev-1, which was the first aircraft to fly in Russia. Gvozdev was born in 1883 in the city of Tver, Russia. He was the son of a blacksmith and grew up in a rural area.
